ESA Gaming to Launch in Greece with New Vendor License – Online Casino

Online gaming provider ESA Gaming is set to launch in Greece after securing a new provider license from the Hellenic Gaming Commission (EEEP).

The license will allow ESA to distribute its range of mobile gaming products to licensed operators in Greece, including its portfolio of EasySwipe-branded mobile-first HTML5 titles.

ESA also holds certifications in Portugal, Italy and Colombia, as well as a provider license issued by the Malta Gaming Authority.

“Receiving our Greek license is another exciting moment for us in our move towards global expansion,” said ESA Director General Zorica Smallwood. “The Greek market has huge potential and we can’t wait to see how our titles will be received by operators and gamers.

“It’s another big step for us this year as we’ve gotten stronger and stronger.”

ESA is the latest provider to get a new license in Greece, following BGaming earlier this month.

Other recent licensees in the country include Yggdrasil, SoftSwiss, iSoftBet and Oryx.

The licensing process in Greece opened in October 2020, a year after the Greek parliament passed reforms to its gambling law in October 2019. Two types of provider licenses have been made available – one to offer online betting technology and the other to offer online games of chance.

The new regulatory system requires operators and suppliers to comply with strict operating conditions. Online slots – which a previous draft regulation had sought to ban – are capped at €2 per spin, with a minimum spin of three seconds and a maximum win of €70,000 per spin.
