Online casino and betting brand Optibet and legendary Microgaming Mega Moolah online slot machine are consolidating into a powerful duo as at the start of the month they produced a second millionaire in as many months.

On August 6, an anonymous player at the online casino owned by Enlabs scored a mega seven-figure victory over the classic Mega Moolah. The lucky customer received € 7,231,507.69 to join Microgaming’s Mega Moolah Millionaires Club.

Also note that the Optibet player has become the 101st millionaire on the progressive jackpot network of the leading online gaming provider.

News of Mega Moolah’s latest big win emerges about two months after another Optibet player hit a € 6,597,136.10 jackpot to also be a part of Microgaming and the history of its most prolific online slot machine.

Including the last big payment, the leading provider of iGaming content and related software has now paid more than 1.45 billion euros to date in winnings on its progressive jackpot network. It has awarded 137 million euros to all jackpots, jackpot levels and games equipped with its jackpot mechanics since the start of the year.

The Optibet player received their seven-figure payout as a lump sum, as is the case with all winnings from the Microgaming progressive jackpot network.

A remarkable event

Commenting on their latest big news on Mega Moolah, Microgaming CEO John Coleman said they were all used to seeing “Massive jackpots fall on Mega Moolah” and that “7.2 million euros is a fantastic amount to win”.

Mr Coleman congratulated the winning player and praised Optibet, a longtime partner operator, for securing a second consecutive mega victory over Mega Moolah in such a short time.

Chris Davis, CPO at Optibet parent company Enlabs, said they were thrilled when Mega Moolah first stumbled across the online casino two months ago and that “For this to happen a second time a few weeks later, it is remarkable. “

Mr Davis further stressed that their current and new Optibet users will appreciate this important step and that “This situation can only be attributed to the luck of the brand.”

Mega Moolah has established itself as the all-time industry record for the size of the prizes it pays out, and a few months ago it broke another record.

In May, a Belgian player hit a € 19,430,723.60 win to receive the highest payout ever on a progressive jackpot slot machine. The player played the Absolootly Mad: Mega Moolah game to claim the record for earnings. Microgaming released the title in May 2020. The Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland-inspired slot machine was designed by its exclusive studio partner Triple Edge Studios.
