Realistic games are heading for the debut of the Romanian online casino market
UK-based online casino game developer Realistic Games is poised to expand into a new market as part of its strategy to increase its regulated presence.
The studio announced on Tuesday that it had obtained a license from the Romanian National Gambling Office (ONJN) to offer its ever-growing library of titles to gambling operators facing Romania.
Formed in 2002, Realistic Games has established itself as one of the leading providers of innovative and high quality content for the iGaming industry. The company specializes in the design and development of attractive table games such as blackjack, baccarat and roulette, as well as three and five reel online slots.
All its products are hosted on the ReGaL gaming platform which allows partners to access it easily. Realistic Games originally focused on delivering its titles to UK licensed operators, but has significantly expanded its presence in a number of other territories in recent years.
Its games can be found in the lobbies of major online casino operators and their brands, including BetVictor, Entain, 888casino and LeoVegas, among others, and in a multitude of markets.
The studio has also signed a series of aggregation partnerships with major platform providers, including Digital SG, Micro-game, Playtech, ORYX Gaming, and more, to gain visibility in the iGaming space.
An important step
Commenting on their new Romanian license, Realistic Games commercial director Robert Lee said that obtaining a license to deliver their content in Romania “Is an important step” for them as they pursue their growth strategy to bring new innovative securities to regulated markets.
Mr. Lee added that Romania is a “Prosperous region and one of the most active in southern Europe”.
The studio’s commercial director further underlined that they are set to announce a series of partnerships with Romanian licensed operators in due course as they make their mark in the country.
The recent accreditation of Realistic Games by the Romanian regulator will help the company to further expand its regulated footprint. The company also holds licenses to provide its content to local operators in Sweden, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia and United Kingdom.
Romania regulated its online gambling space in the summer of 2016. The domestic market has seen continued growth since the launch of the first locally licensed online casinos and sports betting sites.
Following the accreditation of Realistic Games by the ONJN, the studio’s extremely popular table games as well as a wide selection of slot machines will be available to Romanian players. The company’s portfolio of online slots includes Game changer series, the Electrocoin sequel to all-time remakes and classics 8th Wonder and Super Graphics backwards. It also offers a nice range of instant win games.
