Yggdrasil Obtains License From Greek Online Casino Provider
Yggdrasil, the leading creator and publisher of online casino content, has joined many other game developers who have recently been licensed from a Greek supplier.
Greece revamped its online gaming space earlier this year and the local regulator, the Hellenic Gaming Commission, has for months been licensing international and local companies wishing to bring their products and services to the market.
The new license issued allows Yggdrasil to launch its suite of online casino games with locally licensed iGaming operators and make its titles available to Greek players.
A wide selection of premium online slots and other online casino games, including titles featuring the provider Game engagement mechanics (GEM), is now accessible to operators facing Greece. In addition, games from Yggdrasil’s YG Masters program for third-party studios are also available and may be integrated into the gaming halls of online casinos licensed by the Hellenic Gaming Commission.
The main supplier revealed that he had already teamed up with a number of leading Greek operators and more details on these partnerships are expected to be released in the weeks and months to come.
Yggdrasil joins the likes of 1X2 network, Pariplay, and SOFTSWISS, all of which have recently obtained a Greek license under the new rules and regulations of this market.
“Once again, walk the speech”
Commenting on their latest milestone, Yggdrasil’s head of global market operations Björn Krantz said the company is clearly “once again preach the word” and that they “Continue to implement our regulatory market strategy”.
News regarding the supplier’s Greek license appears just days after the announcement of ISO / IEC 27001 accreditation. Broadly speaking, ISO / IEC 27001 is an international standard for how an organization manages the security of its information.
Mr. Krantz said that “obtain a Greek license and capitalize on our ISO / IEC 27001 accreditation is yet another step and achievement of the great team that we have here at Yggdrasil. The official also thanked all their Greek partners for their support in “making a difference with Yggdrasil and our portfolio of leading innovative games in Greece.”
Greece is the last regulated market on which the studio launches its content. Earlier this month, Yggdrasil announced his entry Slovakia’s online casino space not that long ago thanks to an existing partnership with Tipsport. The two companies joined forces for the first time in 2019 in a deal that allowed Yggdrasil to launch its significant gaming portfolio in the Czech Republic.
Yggdrasil was established in 2013 and through hard work and innovative approaches to game creation, the company quickly claimed a first place in the online gaming industry. It is headquartered in Sweden and also has offices in Malta, Poland and Gibraltar. Its content is available in several regulated jurisdictions with some of the world’s leading digital gambling operators.
